Booking:

Bookings must be made in writing, either on our website or by e-mail. Advance booking is limited to a one-year period (90 days for online bookings). For your booking to be confirmed, you need to provide the following information: given name and surname, address, telephone number, dates of arrival and departure, and number of guests. Bookings become binding for both parties when the booking contract has been signed.

 

Arrival:

Room/bed reservations remain in place until 6:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. After that time, any booked rooms or beds that are still unoccupied will be assigned to other guests, unless late arrival has been notified in writing to reception. In any case, cancellation fees apply.

 

Payment:

Payment is due on arrival. In all events, Dobbiaco Youth Hostel reserves the right to ask for a deposit to confirm the booking (up to 100% of the total amount). If the confirmation deposit is not received by the agreed date, the reservation will be cancelled. We accept payment in cash (up to €2,999.99) and by credit or debit card. Groups also have the option of making a bank transfer after departure.

 

Cancellation policy for solo travellers and families:

Cancellations must be notified in writing, and are considered to be acknowledged once Dobbiaco Youth Hostel has confirmed receipt.
 

In the event of cancellation, the following fees apply:

  • Cancellations made no later than 7 days prior to the arrival date: no charge
  • Cancellations made 6 to 5 days prior to the arrival date: 40% of the booking price
  • Cancellations made 4 to 2 days prior to the arrival date: 60% of the booking price
  • Cancellations made 1 day or less in advance: 80% of the booking price

 

IMPORTANT NOTE: a €20.00 administrative fee applies in any event of cancellation.

 

The booking price includes accommodation, breakfast and any other services agreed upon. In the event of partial cancellation (i.e. if not all the booked beds are occupied or cancelled), the 80% cancellation fee applies to the booking price for the unoccupied or cancelled beds.

 

Cancellation policy for groups (min. 7 people):

The term “group” refers to seven or more people travelling together, who are regarded as one single unit by the person who makes the booking and the accommodation provider. For group bookings, we reserve the right to demand a confirmation deposit (up to 100% of the booking price). If the confirmation deposit is not received by the agreed date, the reservation will be cancelled. All expenses are to be borne by the client. The definite number of guests must be notified in writing at least 31 days before the agreed date of arrival. In the event of cancellation by the entire group or individual group members, this too must be notified in writing and will be considered to be acknowledged once Dobbiaco Youth Hostel has confirmed receipt.

 

The following cancellation fees apply:

  • Cancellations made at least 31 days prior to the arrival date: no charge
  • Cancellations made 30 to 7 days prior to the arrival date: 40% of the booking price
  • Cancellations made 6 days or less in advance: 80% of the booking price

 

Early departure:

In the event of early departure, we charge for the number of days spent at the hostel plus 80% of the agreed price for the remaining days and any other services that were booked but not used.
