Town attractions and mountain adventures

Bolzano has so much to offer that boredom is not an option! The shops under the arcades and the colourful fruit market in the historical centre are just a short walk away and serve as a perfect introduction to the town’s bountiful cultural attractions. These include a number of interesting museums, such as the South Tyrol Archaeology Museum with the world-famous ice mummy Ötzi, the Natural History Museum and the Modern Art Museum. Winter experiences

A ski holiday

in Bolzano

You can choose from five different ski areas, all of which are only a 30-minute car journey or bus ride from Bolzano: Obereggen at the foot of Mt. Latemar, the Alpe di Siusi ski area, Carezza-Karersee in the Val d’Ega valley, Reinswald in the Sarentino valley and the Rittnerhorn ski area just above Bolzano. All these ski areas offer snow-sure slopes at all levels of difficulty, as well as extensive facilities including children’s areas, ski schools and cosy Alpine huts for refreshment. If you are not a skier, you will be pleased to know that you don’t need to stay on-piste to enjoy the South Tyrolean snowscape! For example, you can take the Renon cable car – just a few metres from our doorstep – and spend wonderful days sledging, cross-country skiing and snowshoe hiking.
